Direct answers before an assessment.
What does the access-control health check evaluate?
It screens reported reliability, platform support, credentials, door monitoring, power resilience, administrator security and documentation. A field assessment is required to verify actual conditions.
Does this test fire-code or egress compliance?
No. The online tool cannot inspect doors, locks, fire-alarm interfaces or emergency operation. Those conditions require qualified field review and coordination with the applicable authorities and trades.
Can an older access system still be serviceable?
Yes. Age alone does not require replacement. Supportability, credential security, opening hardware, power, event reliability, administration and remaining lifecycle value should be evaluated together.
What should I gather before an access-control assessment?
Provide the opening list, controller and reader models, credential types, administrator access, service history, active proposals, known failures and any available drawings or photographs.
